HRMS — HR Management System
Multi-role HR platform with 25+ modules and RBAC across 8 roles.
HRMS is a passion project: a full-featured, multi-role HR management platform in the vein of BambooHR / Workday / Rippling, built with Next.js 16, React 19 and TypeScript.
It covers 25+ modules — employee records, attendance, leave, payroll, benefits, performance reviews, recruiting/ATS, onboarding & offboarding, asset & access-card tracking, training, expenses, surveys, org chart and analytics.
Architecture
- RBAC: role-based access control across 8 roles (Employee, Supervisor, Manager, HR/Payroll/IT Admins, Recruiter, Executive) driven from one permission matrix powering navigation, server-side guards and edge middleware.
- Data layer: a clean repository pattern over an in-memory store, isolating UI/business logic from persistence so a real database (Prisma/Drizzle) can drop in per-feature with zero caller changes.
- UI: reusable shadcn/Radix component system, a TanStack Table data-table suite (faceted filters, search, sort, pagination), Recharts dashboards and light/dark theming.
- Forms: type-safe React Hook Form + Zod, REST route handlers for reads (TanStack Query) and Server Actions for writes.
